The body is capable of incredible things, like a baby coregulating with its mother in an innate and intelligent way. We often see postpartum mothers and babies physically in an identical state of stress, although it is expressed in very different ways.
Signs of stress in baby:
Colic, reflux, difficulty latching, gas pains, tense/unable to relax
Signs of stress in mama:
Fatigue, brain fog, discomfort in her body, headaches, neck/shoulder/upper back pain
Heart Rate Variability Scans we do in our office:
These scans show both mom and baby stuck in a state of stress. When parents are experiencing stress, it is not uncommon for our children to experience it as well. Our goal is to bring that white dot closer to the green and bring mom and baby adaptability within their nervous systems.
Taking care of you both: We have a unique patient-centered approach focused on improving the foundational health of each patient’s central nervous system.
This is a great opportunity for mom to care for her body while also tending to the tension in her new baby through chiropractic care.
